Frame, Deanna Jean (5 June 1981)

The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated at Greenwood St. Mary’s Catholic Church wedding rites for Deanna Jean Frame and John Paul Mayenschein.

The nuptials took place on the late afternoon of Friday, June 5. The parents of the bride, Gordon and Shirley Christophersen, Rt. 1 Greenwood, presented her to the altar. Parents of the groom are Norm and Rita Mayenschein, 127 North Main St., Greenwood.

Serving as maid of honor was Sherri Frame, a sister of the bride from Milwaukee. She was joined by Jeri Lynn Mayenschein, the groom’s sister of Greenwood, and Rosy Bayuk, a friend from Willard. On the groom’s side, Eliot Suda, a friend from Greenwood, was bestman. He was joined by Luke Yurkovich and Dion Landini, both Willard friends. Ushering were Pete Christophersen, the bride’s brother and Joe Mayenschein, the groom’s brother of Greenwood.

Special music at the wedding included “The Wedding Song” and other selections offered by Cynde Scheuerman. Sherri Frame offered “Through The Eyes Of Love.”

The bride chose a lace gown in the pinafore style with a long train. She carried a bouquet of pale yellow mums. Her attendants wore gowns of light pastel colors in blue, pink and yellow; they carried bouquets of daisies in pastel colors. The groom was attired in a white tuxedo and his attendants wore silver tuxedos.

The wedding was followed by a meal at the parish hall and a reception at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.

The bride is a 1981 graduate of Greenwood High School. The groom is a 1980 graduate of the same school and in 1981 from District I Technical Institute of Eau Claire. He is presently an assistant manager for Greenwood IGA. The new Mr. and Mrs. Mayenschein will make their home at Rt. 1 Greenwood.
