Enlistments Noted (Military Notes - 1981)

Various branches of the U.S. military often announce when area men and women begin training, receive promotions or participate in special maneuvers.

In those recent announcements were:

Michael Tripp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tripp of Missouri, who recently enlisted in U.S. Air Force. He will be attending basic training at Lackland AFB. Texas, and then will receive training in the mechanical area. Michael is a 1981 graduate of Granton High School.

Douglas Meier, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Meier, of 201 East Twelfth St., Neillsville, recently enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He will be taking basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas, and then be given general training. Douglas is a 1981 graduate of Neillsville High School.
