Strangfeld, Belinda K. (25 January 1967 – 7 June 1981)
Belinda K. Strangfeld, 14-year-old daughter of Byrl and Louise (Davis)
Strangfeld, Rt. 3 Neillsville, succumbed to cystic fibrosis on Sunday afternoon,
June 7. She died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Belinda was afflicted
with cystic fibrosis since birth.
The deceased was born on January 25, 1967, in Kenosha. Three years later, she
moved with her parents to the Neillsville area. She attended Neillsville’s
Elementary and Middle schools. This past month, she graduated from eighth grade.
While a student, she was a member of the Middle School Choir and Spanish Club.
She was also active in the Lucky Clover 4-H Club.
Surviving her, besides her parents, is a sister, Michaela at home; and paternal
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Strangfeld, Neillsville. She was preceded in
death by a sister Lynette and her maternal grandparents.
Offering special music at the serviced was Mrs. Dan Dux, the church congregation
and Karen Hoppa. Selections included “I’m But A Stranger Here” and “What A
Friend We Have In Jesus.”
Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, June 11, for Belinda K.
Strangfeld, with The Rev. Ralph Stuebs officiating at the Immanual Lutheran
Church services in Globe. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, with
pallbearers, Dan and David Dux, Jerry and Dennis Poppe, Randy Henchen and
Mitchel Hediger. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of the
arrangements.
Those attending from out of town included Mr./Mrs. Arnold Strangfeld & children,
Nekoosa; Marie Strangfeld, Betty Bohlinger and Mrs. James Deacon & daughter, of
Eau Claire; Mr./Mrs. Raymond Strangfeld & son, Strum; Mr/Mrs. Clarence Davis,
Plover; Mr./Mrs. Robert Davis & children, Lake Geneva; Kenny Davis and Lorie
Thomas, of Delavan; Diane and Mike Davis, Berlin; Violet Ross, Osseo, Mr./Mrs.
Ervin Martin, West Allis; Pat and Connie Brick, Chippewa Falls; Mr./Mrs. Byron
Friberg, Colfax; and Mr./Mrs. Bernard Brenner, Durand.
