Buchholz, Kevin R. (6 October 1959 – 6 April 2022)
Kevin R. Buchholz, age 62, of Colby, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Kevin was born on October 6, 1959, the son of Robert and Phyllis (May) Buchholz
in Medford. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1977. Kevin enlisted in
the US Army in 1977 and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO until his
discharge in 1982.
Kevin was united in marriage to Alice Leffel on May 11, 1985, at First
Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford. He drove a semi-truck for most of his life
and most recently worked for Fab Express. Kevin enjoyed tinkering in his garage,
volunteering for the Colby Athletic Booster Club, and spending time with his
family outdoors.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons: Travis (fiancée Emily Peissig)
of Hartland and Trevor (fiancée, Courtney Polzin) of Stratford; adoptive son,
Josh Fisk; two brothers, Dale Buchholz of Poynette and Alan Buchholz of Colby; a
sister, Carol Buchholz of Abbotsford; a sister-in-law, Sue Buchholz of New
Franken; two nephews, Justin and Jason Buchholz; as well as other relatives and
friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steve.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at
Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Rev. Kevin Hoogland will officiate. Family and
friends are welcome from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the
church. Military Honors provided by the Colby VFW Post #2227. The
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.
