Kaz, Carlynn (7 Sep 1973)
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson are on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls following their
marriage last Friday evening in Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.
Rev. Father George Becker presided at the candlelight ceremony uniting the
former Carlynn Kaz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kaz of Owen, and Mark Johnson,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Johnson of Withee.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white
embossed bridal satin accented with a pleated organza standup collard and
organza over satin bodice. The organza overskirt panels were trimmed with
flowered appliques. Her fingertip veil was attached to a flowered applique cap.
She carried a bouquet of orchids, baby’s breath and stephanotis.
Attending the bride were her sisters, Susan and Mary Kaz, and Rachel Hill. They
were attired in knit polyester gowns of burgundy, shocking pink and deep orchid,
with antique lace collards and covered buttons on the bodice and sleeves. Each
carried a floral arrangement to match her dress, centered with a white candle.
The groom’s attendants were Gary Johnson, Jeff Greschner, and Dick Kincaid, all
of rural Withee. Seating guests were Peter Kaz and Dave Soczka.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Wm. Mahoney, organist, and Carleen
Sillampa, who sang “Sunrise Sunset”, “The Our Father”, and “The Wedding Song.”
