Bills, Beulah (12 September 1904 - 19 September 1983)
NEILLSVILLE -- Mrs. Delbert R. (Beulah) Bills, 79, Route 1, Neillsville, was
dead on arrival Monday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Death followed a
lingering illness.
Services will be Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, with the
Rev. Howard Ott of United Methodist Church officiating.ON Thursday, services
will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Prairie du Sac with the Rev. Larry
Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
The former Beulah Campbell was born September 12, 1904 in Crawford County, to
the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Josie Tichner) Campbell. She received her education
in Lynxville and Prairie du Chien schools. She also received two years of nurses
training in Prairie du Chien.
She was married to Delbert R. Bills April 21, 1924 in Rockford, Illinois. They
lived in various cities in the state and she was employed at several hospitals.
In 1954, they moved to the Neillsville area where she was employed for many
years at Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of United Methodist Church, Granton, the Pleasant Ladies Aid
and the Pleasant Ridge Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Vernon (Kay) Drescher of
Neillsville, and Mrs. Gene (Betty) Balch of Granton; three sisters, Mrs. Stu
(Zelda) Nesbitt and Mrs. John (Edna) Hangle, both of La Crosse, and Mrs. Frank
(Elaine) Cook of Mendon, Michigan; two brothers, Charles Campbell of Sauk City
and Norman Campbell of Wausau; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, two sons, a grandson and four
brothers.
