Rasmussen, Arnold & Martha (50th Anniversary - 14 September 1983)
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold (Martha) Rasmussen of Withee, who were married September 14,
1933 in Tyler, Minnesota, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary September
3 at Nazareth Lutheran Church Hall, Withee.
The festivities were planned by their daughters, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Ruggles,
Mrs. Gary (Doris) Lund and Mrs. Fred (Janet) Hannel.
The Rasmussens moved to Withee in January 1934 and took over the farm of his
father, Jacob Rasmussen , after his death. They sold the Frenchtown property in
1954 and moved to Withee. Mr. Rasmussen was working for Plautz Brothers in
Willard and was administrator of Clark COunty forests and parks, retiring
December 31, 1969. Mrs. Rasmussen worked at the State Bank of Withee.
