Miss Carol Ann Blair of Wausau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Blair of
Route 1, Abbotsford, and John Paul Stano of Fond du Lac, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Anton A. Stano, Ironwood, Michigan, were united in marriage Saturday, September
8, 1973 in the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford.
Rev. Donald Huston, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Wausau, performed the
nuptial ceremony.
Jill Bremer was the organist and Vicky Nixdorf sang “Because” and “The Wedding
Song.”
For her wedding day the bride chose a gown with tucked organza V-yoke and
sleeves with self-ruffle neckline, sata peau princess gathered skirt with tucked
border and detachable chapel sweep train. Her matching headpiece secured a
chapel length veil. She carried a Romanza style bouquet of white roses and
stephanotis with orange tinted baby’s breath.
Attending her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. Michael Gust of Lafayette. The
bridesmaids were Miss Ginny Stano of Ironwood, Michigan, Miss Jean Bungert of
Wausau and Miss Linda Holtz of Madison.
The bridal attendants wore dresses in fall tones of crepe over taffeta with long
fitted sleeves, white cuffs, V-neckline, white lace edged collard, set-in
cummerbund and slightly gathered skirt. They carried bouquets of fall flowers.
Attending the groom as best man was Michael Gust of Lafayette. Groomsmen were
Mark Stano and Art Manari of Ironwood, Michigan, and Randy Blair of Abbotsford.
Douglas and Dudley Blair seated the guests.
Following the ceremony a buffet dinner and reception were held at the Colby
Hotel.
The new Mrs. Stano is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and North Central
Technical Institute at Wausau. She had been employed as a secretary by Wausau
Home, Inc. Her husband graduated from St. Ambrose High School in Ironwood and
the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. He is assistant manager of Thorp
Finance in Fond du Lac.
After a wedding trip to Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Stano will be making their home at
650 E. Second street, Apt. 8, Fond du Lac.
