Dale Thompson, Curtiss, was mauled by a bull on Wednesday, September 19, 1973.
His wife rushed him to Medford Memorial Hospital, where he was examined and
treated for multiple bruises. No broken bones were found, and he was released
Thursday noon and is at home recuperating.
The bull had been kept in the barn, and plans were to ship him. He was left out
for breeding purposes when the attack occurred.
The bull mauled and threw Thompson 70 feet down the lane and through a fence.
Thompson managed to make his way to the house, where Mrs. Thompson found him at
8:20 as she went out to do her chores.
Mrs. Thompson said her husband had outside chores to day, and was dressed for
the chilly day, which she thinks save him from more serious injury.
