Students of Professor John W. Harvey of the School of Music at the University of
Wisconsin, Madison performed in their first carillon recital Sunday.
The bell ringers are Lyle J. Anderson, Abbotsford; Roger H. Dent, Spring Valley;
Steward A. Scharch, Madison, and Daniel A. Zager, Wisconsin Rapids.
Professor Harvey, who has been University carillonneur for 13 years, said the
carillon tower will open at 2:45 p.m. and remain open during the concert for
listeners who want to see the bells and how they are played.
The Sunday concerts held at 3 p.m., will continue until after Christmas.
