Miller, George Sr. (21 January 1888 - 25 September 1983)

UNITY - George Miller Sr., 95, of Unity died at the Colonial House of Colby early Sunday evening.

Services will be Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. The Rev. Timothy Duesenberg will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home, Colby.

He was born January 21, 1888 in the Town of Unity, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William (Anna Dommer) Miller and received his education at the Sunshine School there. He married Jennie Helmke June 21, 1916 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger. She died April 10, 1973. He farmed in the town of Unity until retiring in 1952. He then moved to Unity, where he was the caretaker and marshal there for many years.

A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mr. Miller is survived by a son, George Jr., of Unity; two grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons,

He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
