Airman Gary A. Lyon, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Lyon of Riplinger, has been assigned
to Chanute AFB, Illinois, after completing Air Force basic training.
During his six weeks at the air training command’s Lackland AFB, Texas, he
studied the Air Force missions, organization and customs, and received
specialized training as a fire protection specialist.
Airman Lyon is a 1973 graduate of Colby High School.
