Radiologist Joins Memorial Staff (Dr. Vangala - 1981)
Dr. Vangala J. Reddy, a naïve of Hyderabab, India, has recently joined the staff
of Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Dr. Vangala, a radiologist, assumed his
position last Wednesday. The appointment of Dr. Vangala marks the first time in
the history of Memorial Hospital that a radiologist has been a permanent staff
member. Among Dr. Vangala’s duties will be the development of a more
comprehensive x-ray department at Memorial Hospital.
A graduate of Osmania University in India. Dr. Vangala came to the United States
in 1976. He continued his education and worked at the Long Island Jewish Medical
Center before moving to Neillsville.
Next to the hustle and bustle of new York life, Neillsville appeals to Dr.
Vangala. “I like people and the size of the community,” he said. “After living
in New York, I think I’m going to like this kind of life.” Dr. Vangala is
married and the father of a four-year-old son. He will make his home in
Neillsville.
