Olson, Annmarie Jean (19 June 1981)

With the father of the bride presenting her to the altar and the Rev. James Logan officiating, Annmarie Jean Olson and Edward Brian Wolf were united in marriage on Friday afternoon, June 19, in Loyal’s St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Noel Olson, Rt. 2 Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wolf of Loyal.

Roseann Olson, a sister of the bride from Loyal, was maid of honor. She was joined by Melissa Olson, the bride’s sister; Donna Wolf and Mrs. Dave Degan, sisters of the groom; Deb Schecklman, Lori Taylor, Kim Voit and Suzanne Brostowitz, friends of the couple. All of the bride’s party were from Loyal except for Loir Taylor of Spencer and Suzanne Brostowitz of Port Edwards.

On the groom’s side, Lyle Wolf, the groom’s brother, was bestman. He was joined by Joe Wolf, brother of the groom; Save Deegan, brother-in-law of the groom; Bob Olson and Richard Olson, brothers of the bride; Jay Gardner and Todd Spindler, cousins of the groom; and Randy Wolf, uncle of the groom. All were from Loyal except for Spindler of rural Marshfield. Ushering were Mike Olson, brother of the bride, and Tim Olson, cousin of the bride, both of Loyal. Billy Wolf, a brother of the groom, was ringbearer while Heather Olson, a sister of the bride, was flowergirl.

Special music selections were offered at the service by Arnie and Delores Wolf, Dennis Wolf, Lorette Bauer and Sue Wehrman.

The bride chose a gown in the semi-bouffant-style of silk organza and Chantilly lace. It featured a Queen Anne’s neckline, lantern sleeves and a ruffled flounced hemline that swept to chapel-length train. She also wore a matching Chantilly lace hat and carried a bouquet of silk flowers. Her attendants wore spaghetti strapped gowns with sheer print jackets. They carried parasols in blue, yellow, apricot and pink, each trimmed with flowers. The groom wore a black-trimmed, tailless tuxedo as die his attendants.

Following the nuptials, a reception was held at Loyal American Legion Hall. The couple then left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, New York.

She is a graduate of Loyal High School. Her husband graduated from the same school in 1979 and is employed by Wolf’s Sawmill of Loyal. The couple will make their home in Loyal.
