SP-4 Robert Flink, son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Flink, Route 2, Colby, and SP-4
Cheri Helzer, daughter of Mrs. Susan Helzer and the late Norton Helzer of Alpina,
Michigan, were married November 4, 1973 at the Fairfax Chapel at Ft. Belvoir,
Georgia, where both are stationed.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was SP-4 Charlene Porter of Washington,
D.C., and bridesmaids were SP-4 Marsha Bernisink of Rochester, N.Y., and SP-4
Judy Krokosynski of San Jose, California.
Best man was SP-4 David Jones of Minneapolis, and Sgt. Richard Flink of
Fayetteville, North Carolina and Pfc. Robert Krokosynski of New York City served
as groomsmen.
The bride was given in marriage by M-Sgt. Leion Riddick of Ft. Belvoir. Ushers
were SP-5 William Warren of Orlando, Florida, and SP-4 Jose Fanesca, New York
City.
Guests at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Flink of Colby, Mr. and Mrs.
Jerry Flink of Abbotsford, James Flink of Tampa, Florida, Sgt. And Mrs. Richard
Flink of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mrs. Susan Helzer of Alpina, Michigan,
and friends from Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, Chillicothe, Ohio,
and Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Robert graduated from Colby High School in 1965 and entered the Army in November
1971. Both are recent graduates of the Clinical Specialist School at the DeWitt
Army Hospital, Ft. Belvoir. They are licensed practical nurses and will be
stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky after December 1.
