Schopfer, Clarence (7 Sep 1925 – 30 Dec 1977)
Clarence A. Schopfer, age 52 of Owen, died Friday, December 30, 1977 at St.
Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 2, 1978 at the Kraut-Maurina
Funeral Home in Owen, and burial followed in Pine Hill Cemetery near Curtiss.
The Rev. Roger Tellock officiated.
Pallbearers were Merlyn A. Ritter, Harold Mueller, Mike Orth, Ben Kenyon, George
Bender and Howard Rabska.
Mr. Schopfer was born September 7, 1925 in the town of Hoard. He received his
education at the White Grade School and had worked for Wagner Feed Mill in Owen.
He also worked for Howard Rabska, a logger for many years. He had been a
resident of Owen for 17 years.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Dunkel of Medford, Mrs.
Vernon (Evelyn) Jorstead, Appleton, and Mrs. Roy (Lorraine) Nimerosky of South
Bend Indiana, and two brothers, Arnold of Cicero, Illinois and Harold of Owen.
He was pre-deceased by one brother and two sisters.
