Bruce Johnson of the Owen police Department recently completed Police Recruit
Training School, receiving his diploma showing that he had passed a 240 hours
six week course. He attended school in Wausau at the Wausau Police Department,
and the North Central Technical Institute.
Mr. Johnson completed this training to comply with Wisconsin State law that all
law officers receive the basice 240 hours course to become full officers.
Bruce received courses on the following: Accident Investigation, Crime Scene
Investigation, Criminal Code System, State Statures, Traffic Offenses State
Control and Patrol Traffic Direction, Vehicle Stops, Felony Stops, Self Defense,
Pistol Range, First Aid, Writing Reports.
Schools attended in Wausau: Emergency Vehicle operation, Drugs and Narcotic
Abuse, Juvenile, State Mental Health Act, Child Abuse, Auto Theft, Liquor Laws
and Death Investigation.
