Virginia Hynes of Withee was among ninety-two Viterbo College sophomore nursing
students who participated in capping ceremonies at the college Fine Arts Center
on Sunday, January 22, 1978, at 2:15 p.m.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of a year and a half of academic
work, and the beginning of formal nursing classes. At the end of four years the
study and clinical experience these students successfully completing the program
will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Viterbo’s four-year
baccalaureate program in nursing has been in existence since 1967.
