Hansen, Emil A. (20 Aug 1898 – 11 Mar 1978)
Emil Arthur Hansen, 79, of Withee, died at 9:08 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 1978 at
the Thorp Care Center.
Services were held Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, the Rev. Lloyd
Yaggie, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Harry Hansen, Kenneth Smith, Ron Hamrick, Joe Karaba,
Tom Decker and Allan Lulloff.
Mrs. Hansen was born August 20, 1898 in Stevens Point. He married Kathryn S.
Keskimaki June 24, 1926 in Nazareth Lutheran Church. They lived in Withee and
operated Hansen’s Mercantile Store from 1926 – 1969. He was a charter member of
the Withee Lions Club, the Withee Commercial Club, Danish Brotherhood, and
Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Larry of Decatur, Illinois, and Tracy of West
Allis; three brothers, Walter and Raymond, both of Chippewa Falls, and Victor of
Chicago; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother.
