Plummer, Bernard H. (17 Aug 1923 – 23 Mar 1978)

Bernard H. Plummer, 54, of Withee, died at 7:25 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 1978 at Memorial Hospital in Medford.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen. The Rev. Douglas Groenewold of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

He was born August 17, 1923 at Menomonie, and married Ruby Knippel April 12, 1952 at Chicago. He attended Menomonie area schools, and served during World War II, later working in North Dakota. For the past five years he lived in Withee.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Bernard Jr. and Michael Allen, both of Withee; two daughters, Mrs. Danny (Pamela) Varney, Withee, and Mrs. Randolph (Sylvia) Shelton, Loyal; his mother, Mrs. Marie Plummer, Withee; a brother, Barney Plummer, Granton; a sister Mrs. Reuben (Judy) Garbisch, Granton, and seven grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father and a brother.
