Navy Machinist’s Mate Second Class Richard K. Campbell, who wife Laurel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Selby of Route 2, Withee, Wisconsin, has returned from a six-year forward deployment in the western Pacific.

He is serving as a crew member aboard the destroyer USS Bausell, now homeported in San Diego.

During forward deployment, Bausell operated from Yokosuka, Japan as a unit of the U.S. Seventh Fleet. Her last months of Pacific duty included participation in exercises with units of the Republic of Korea and Philippines, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Forces. During the voyage to San Diego, Buasell shipmates visited Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia.
