Krahn, Alice (10 Aug 1912 – 15 Apr 1978)

Mrs. Alice Krahn, age 65, Owen, Wisconsin, died at 10:30 p. m. Saturday, April 15, 1978 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 1978 at St. Joh’s Lutheran Church, Withee, with Rev. Douglas Groenewold and Rev. Dean Moe, Minneapolis, officiating. Burial followed at Marathon City Cemetery, Marathon, Wisconsin.

The former Alice Peissig was born on August 10, 1912 in the Town of Little Black in Taylor County. She attended the Lawndale Garage School, Stetsonville, and worked in Milwaukee.

She married Ervin Krahn in Milwaukee on October 23, 1943, and they moved to Withee in 1945. She lived in Owen the past 32 years, working at the Clark County Health Care Center from 1969 – 1976.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by one son, Allan Krahn of Minneapolis, and one daughter, Miss Susan Krahn of Madison; one sister, Margaret Robblee of Richfield, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in October 1964.

Memorials are requested to be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee.
