The Rev. Alan Minshall and his wife and wo of their children arrived a week ago
in Curtiss, where they will be making their home in the parish house, formerly
occupied by the Rev. Roger Tellock, who accepted a call at Sheboygan Falls
Church later in the year.
This will be the second pastorate for the 38-year-old minister, who formerly
served at the Prince of Peace Church in Coloma, located south of Stevens Point.
The Rev. Minshall, who was born in Milwaukee, graduated with a Bachelor of
Science degree at La Crosse, and later attended Luther Theological Seminary at
St. Paul.
He was a former salesman who worked nights as a security guard in a hospital,
and went to school days to earn his degree in theology, has taken over the
pastorate of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Curtiss and Our Saviors Lutheran Church
in Holway.
His 15-year-old son is a freshman at Abbotsford High School, and Rachel, 5, us a
kindergartner at Abbotsford Elementary. A daughter, Jill, 13, will take part in
eighth grade graduations ceremonies at Coloma before joining the family in
Curtiss.
