Mrs. Floy E. Schnoor, 86, of Owen, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1978 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been admitted Wednesday. She
had been residing at the Continental Manor in Abbotsford.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 1978 at the First United
Church of Christ in Owen, with the Rev. Loren Swanson, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery near Withee.
Serving as pallbearers were Ben Hill, Rubin Hill, Arnie Holopainen, DuWayne
Venet, Henry Nelson and Edward Karpinski.
The former Floy Teitsch was born on July 24, 1891 in Muscatine County, Iowa. On
February 1, 1911 she was married to Henry Schnoor in Davenport, Iowa. In 1913
they moved to rural Owen, farming in the Township of Beaver until 1952, when
they moved to Owen.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mabel Altmonn of Blue Grass, Iowa; one
brother, Curtiss of Laredo, Texas; one granddaughter and two
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, on June 19, 1951, and one son, Lorance,
in June of 1972.
