Harwood, Guy C. (14 May 1894- 21 May 1978)

Guy C. Harwood, age 85 of 407 E. 4th Street, Owen, died Sunday, May 21, 1978 at the Colby Clinic at 6:30 p.m. of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 1978 at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen, with the Rev. Douglas Groenewold officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Mr. Harwood was born on May 14, 1894 in Cook Valley, Bloomer, Wisconsin, and he was educated there. He farmed most of his life at Cook Valley, and the last three years in Owen. He was married on January 5, 1943 in Chippewa Falls to Myrtle Downer.

He is survived by one son, James Harwood of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Burns of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Fannie (?) Raven of Bloomer, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
