Fluegel, Wendell G. (April 1934 – 3 July 1981)
Wendell G. Fluegel, 47, of Phoenix, Arizona, died July 3 in a Phoenix VA
Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in April 1934 in the Town of Sherwood to George and Helen Fluegel.
From 1946-1950, he resided in Neillsville while he attended school. He was also
a musician in the area.
In July of 1968, he married Eileen Bieszak in Milwaukee ceremonies. The couple
then lived for ten years in Rockford, Illinois, prior to moving to Phoenix. In
that Arizona community, he was employed as a cashier for the City National Bank.
He was also a member of that city’s Court Street United Methodist congregation.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kimberly of Phoenix, Cyndi Deans of
Arlington, Virginia, and Lea Ann of Roscoe, Arizona; a son, Troy, Roscoe; his
parents, Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Jean Nathan of Battle Creek,
Michigan, and Mrs. Priscilla Martin of Yukon, Oklahoma; and aunt, Mrs. Harold
Freedlund Pittsville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by a sister, Marjorie Fluegel.
Funeral services and burial were held in Loves Park, Illinois.
