Emil A. Fleischauer, Colby, was honored by stockholders and directors of
Security State Bank at Colby for 50 years of continuous service. He was
presented with plaque and fishing rod at the annual meeting held January 15,
1978, the anniversary of his first election as a director of the bank.
Fleischauer served as a director of the bank from January 15, 1924, until
January 15, 1938, when he was elected vice president until November 8, 1960,
when he was elected president. Serving as president until January 17, 1967, he
was elected chairman of the board of directors, a position he holds at the
present time.
He starts his 51st years of association with the bank, serving as chairman of
the board of directors.
