Pastor David Pankow has resigned from the pastorate of the Zion Lutheran Church
in Colby after serving the community for the past eight years, upon the advice
of the Lutheran Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska. This decision was made to give
him an opportunity for an objective judgement about himself and the ministry of
the church. To do this he will be temporarily out of office, but has not
resigned from the ministry. The Pankow family will move to Omaha, Nebraska as
soon as possible.
A few of his older children will remain in Colby to finish out the school year.
