Kayhart, Albert (17 Aug 1905 – 25 Jan 1974)
Services were held Sunday at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, for Albert
Kayhart, 68, Colby resident, who died Friday, January 25, 1974 at Memorial
Hospital, Medford. Rev. Kenneth Loehrke officiated at the 2 p.m. service, and
interment was made at Dorchester Memorial (South) Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Schauer, Rueben Schmidt, Merle Ramker, Clarence Klimpke,
Bruce Wry and Mike Olah.
Jill Bremer, organist, accompanied Vickie Nixdorf, soloist, who selections were
“Abide With Me: and “What a Friend We have in Jesus.”
Mr. Kayhart was born August 17, 1905 at Dorchester. He received his education in
the Pickett School. He was married to the former Ethel Zastrow on March 7, 1936,
at Stetsonville. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Colby, Spencer
and Stetsonville areas. He was employed by L.C. Christensen Company.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Breuer, Unity,
and Mrs. Dennis (Carol) Krueger, Curtiss; four sons, Wayne, at home, Dennis and
Terry, Colby, and Richard, Auburndale; eight grandchildren; a brother, Donald
Kayhart, Chili, and three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Weiland, Selah,
Washington, Mrs. Idella Collier, Green Bay, and Mrs. Fred (Dorothy Meyer, Unity,
and his mother, Mrs. Ada Kayhart, Green Bay.
Two daughters, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
