Winner of the 1973-74 Betty Crocker Homemaker award at the Colby High School is
Judi Jost.
Selection is made on the basis of tests given in December, and winters on the
local level will receive a silver charm from General Mills. Test papers will be
judged on a state level, the winner receiving a scholarship and a chance to vie
for national honors.
The promotion, started in 1954, is designed to emphasize the importance of
homemaking as a career.
Judi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jost, Unity, plans to attend the University
of Wisconsin extension at Marshfield, and is interested in a career in nursing.
She is president of the French Club, Secretary of National Honor Society, a
member of GAA, FHA and FBLA at Colby High School.
