Kropelin, Adelaide (11 Dec 1896 – 02 Feb 1974)

Funeral rites were held at Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, February 5, for Mrs. Adelaide Kropelin, 77, Abbotsford. Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the service and interment was made in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Kropelin died Saturday at Colonial House of Colby, where she had been living the past three weeks. She had been in ill health for the past four months.

The former Adelaide Rodenburg was born in the town of Frankfort on December 11, 1896. She received her education in local schools and was married to Edwin Kropelin on December 14, 1918, at Colby. The couple farmed and lived in the town of Frankfort their entire married life. Her husband died in 1970, and she moved into Green Vista apartment at Abbotsford about five years ago.

Mrs. Kropelin was a faithful member of a neighborhood “Kaffe Klatch,” which had its beginning in her mother’s day.

She is survived by two sons, George Kropelin, Milwaukee, and Elmer Kropelin, Minneapolis, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. John (Lena) Kern Sr., Mapleton, Minnesota.

A brother preceded her in death.
