Greschner, Lucille (16 March 1928 – 7 June 2022)
Lucille Greschner, age 94, of Owen, left this earth on June 7, 2022, in her home
with her loving children by her side.
Lucille was born in Wisconsin on March 16, 1928, the daughter of Edward and
Josephine (Ignoski) Sluzewski. Lucille and John Greschner were one of the first
weddings held at Holy Rosary Church in Owen on August 28, 1951. Together they
farmed in Owen.
Lucille is survived by three children: Thomas (Cheri) Greschner of Owen, Mary
Greschner of Marshfield and Judy Knuth of Mosinee; two grandchildren: Kelly
Johnson, and Laura VanTassel; and one great-grandson: Liam Johnson. She will be
missed dearly by her siblings: Edward (DeEtta) Sluzewski, Robert Sluzewski, Joan
Cantwell and Dorothy Gehrke; and her sister-in-law: Yvonne Sluzewski.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a granddaughter:
Hailey Greschner; a brother: Lenard Sluzewski; and two brothers-in-law: David
Cantwell and Thomas Gehrke
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church in Owen. Father Leo Johnson will officiate. Visitation
will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
