Sharratt, Roland A. (80th – 20 August 1981)

Roland A. Sharratt, Chili, was recently honored at a surprise birthday party at a Marshfield motel-supper club. He turned 80 on August 20.

Sharratt was born in 1901 in Fond Du Lac County. Later he moved with his parents to the Cannonville area. He has held many different jobs and many businesses during his lifetime. He still operates a mattress company in Chili. On May 5, 1942, he married Nellie Peters. They had two children, Eugene and Mrs. John (Barbara) Antonuccio, Jr., both of Las Vegas. Nevada. Roland is widowed. His wife died in June of 1965.

Among the many guests at the party were Roland’s sister and brother and their spouses, which included Albert and Gen Schecklman of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sharratt of Neillsville. Unable to attend were his sister, Mrs. Thomas (Val) Sullivan of Evergreen Park, Illinois, and a brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sharratt, Santa Barbara, California.
