Robertson, Mildred (4 Jan 1901 – 15 Mar 1974)
Mrs. Mildred Robertson, 73, Colby, died Friday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital,
Marshfield, where she had been admitted the previous evening after suffering a
heart attack at her home. She had been in ill health the past months.
Services were held at the Methodist Church at Colby, Monday, March 18, at 2
p.m., the Rev. Bervie Scott officiating. Interment was in Colby Memorial
Cemetery.
The former Mildred Wicker was born January 4, 1901 at Medford. She received her
education in Colby and Stratford schools, and attended teachers college at
Stevens Point. She taught school for several years.
Her marriage to Earle Robertson took place August 17, 1921 at Marshfield. After
marriage the couple lived on a farm in the town of Frankfort until 1946, when
they moved to Colby, where they made their home since that time.
She was past Vice Oracle of the Midget City Camp 266 of Royal Neighbors of
America, a choir member, and had served as president of WSCS for several years.
She was also a member of the United Methodist Church at Colby.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Virginia (Mrs. Myron Busche), Wausau; a
son, Robert, New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Wicker, Yuma, Arizona, and Elmer
Wicker, Colby, and two sisters, Marion (Mrs. Edvel Erickson), Clyman, and Evelyn
Wicker, Colby.
She was preceded in death by a child, who died in infancy, and two brothers.
