Boxrucker, Grace A. (19 September 1981)
Grace A. Boxrucker and Stanley Dale, Jr., both of Owen, were united in marriage
on Saturday afternoon, September 19, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Boxrucker of Owen and Stanley Dale Sr.,
of Owen and Mrs. Stanley Dale, Sr., Neillsville.
Serving as bridesmaids were Judy Arndt of Owen and Melisa Smith of Withee, both
friends of the bride. Kim Boxrucker and Heather Chaltry were flower girls while
Angela Chaltry was miniature bride.
Ronald Daly, the groom’s brother-in-law, was best man. He was joined by Jerry
Boxrucker, the bride’s brother. Darrel Chaltry was ring bearer. Ushering were
Rick Hanson, a cousin of the bride, and Gene Haht, a friend of the groom.
The bride chose an organza gown with silk Venician lace, Queen Anne neckline,
bishop sleeves and a lace ruffled and flounced hemline sweeping to a
chapel-length train. Her veil of matching lace was of fingertip length. She
carried blue and white roses, daisies, forget-me-nots and baby’s breath. Her
attendants wore long-sleeved, blue organza gowns with ruffled hems and
necklines, completed by matching picture hats. They carried single blue roses,
surrounded by corn flowers, forget-me-nots and baby’s breath. The groom was in a
white tuxedo and his attendants wore blue tuxedos.
Following the ceremonies, a dinner, reception and dance was held at Curtiss
Hall. The bride’s godmothers, Mrs. Russell Weaver of West Covina, California,
and Mrs. Harold Kuehn of Owen, cut and served the wedding cake. Guests came from
California, Illinois and the Wisconsin communities of Neillsville, Dorchester,
Madison, Chippewa Falls, Brookfield, Cudahy, Chilton, Potter, Medford, Colby,
Marshfield, Thorp, Eleva, Unity, Greenwood, Withee and Owen.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Dale will make their home near Owen. She is a 1981 graduate
of Owen-Withee High School, and he is a 1980 graduate of Greenwood High School.
