Announcement has been made of the purchase of the Lulloff Funeral Home and Furniture Store at Colby by Ronald Rux of Spencer.
Rux purchased the businesses from Woodrow Tesmer and assumed operation of the same on March 1, 1974.
He was born in rural Marathon and graduated from Wausau High School, attended the UW-River Falls, and the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in Milwaukee. He is married to the former Barbara Kuether of Wausau, and they have two daughters, Carrie, 10, and Audia, 4. Rux owns and operates the Rux Funeral Home at Spencer.
The name of the businesses will remain the same. Woodrow Tesmer and Bernard Wavrunek will continue, along with Rux, in hopes that they can provided the same service that has been given in the area in the past.
Tesmer started in the business operations in 1936. Wavrunek has been associated with the firm since 1966.
