Announcement has been made of the purchase of the Lulloff Funeral Home and
Furniture Store at Colby by Ronald Rux of Spencer.
Rux purchased the businesses from Woodrow Tesmer and assumed operation of the
same on March 1, 1974.
He was born in rural Marathon and graduated from Wausau High School, attended
the UW-River Falls, and the Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in
Milwaukee. He is married to the former Barbara Kuether of Wausau, and they have
two daughters, Carrie, 10, and Audia, 4. Rux owns and operates the Rux Funeral
Home at Spencer.
The name of the businesses will remain the same. Woodrow Tesmer and Bernard
Wavrunek will continue, along with Rux, in hopes that they can provided the same
service that has been given in the area in the past.
Tesmer started in the business operations in 1936. Wavrunek has been associated
with the firm since 1966.
