About 300 students from 23 area high schools competed in North Central Technical institute's fifth annual Super Bowl of Business Skills in Wausau, Thursday, February 28, 1974.

Trophies were awarded to the top three contestants in each of seven categories: beginning and advanced typing, beginning and advanced shorthand, bookkeeping, spelling, and business math.

Shirley Witt, daughter of Mrs. Marjorie Witte, tied for third place honors in the business math division.

Other students attending the Business Skills contest  from Abbotsford High School were as follows: beginning typing, Lou Ann Wepfer and Cindy Rueden; business spelling, Karen Writz and Shelby Kalepp; bookkeeping, Peggy Bellendorf and Janice Witt; business math, Debbie Schmidt and Shirt Witt.  The local group was accompanied by Mrs. Linda Laird, Business Education Instructor.
