Nearly 1800 students at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point have received honors for their scholastic achievement during the fall semester, Dr. Gordon Haferbecker, Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, has announced.
Of the approximately 8,000 students enrolled during the four month term, approximately 22 percent of that group earned 3.2 or better grade points on a 4.0 scale. The 4.0 represents a straight "A" average, or perfect record.
- From Abbotsford were: Burt Schauer, highest honors, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schauer, and with honors, Bill Beil, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Beil.
- From Colby were: Nancy Brunker, high honors, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Brunker; high honors, Jeanne Witte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Witte, and with honors, Joan Beyerl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Beyerl.
- From Dorchester was Janis
Tischendorf with honors.
