Steinke, Arthur T. (24 Oct 1905 – 03 Apr 1974)
Funeral services were held Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, for Arthur
T. Steinke, 68, Colby. Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
Curtiss, officiated, and interment was made in the Pin Hill Cemetery at Curtiss.
Mrs. Rhonda Buss was organist, accompanying Debra Pankow, soloist at the
service.
Pallbearers were Eugene Steinke, Earl Schiszik, Victor Borgemoen, Harold Stange,
Robert Mattson and Howard Hoeft.
Mrs. Steinke died Wednesday in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s Hospital at
Marshfield.
He was born in the town of Holton, Marathon County, on October 24, 1905. He
moved to Colby as a young man, where he lived most of his life, receiving his
education in Colby schools. He had been employed for the Wick Building System in
Spencer until his retirement.
He was married on April 6, 1932 to the former Marion Dunow, Curtiss, who
survives.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.
He is also survived by a son, Dale, Medford; two sisters, Mrs. Marth Daellenbach,
Chicago, and Mrs. Olga Hoeft, Abbotsford, and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers and three sisters.
