Cub Scout Troop 683, Colby, held its Pinewood Derby April 25, 1974 at the First
United Church of Christ at Colby.
Joe Bundgaard took first place with his 1974 model Pinewood race car, Don Webb
was second, Dave Bundgaard third, and Mike Rahm fourth. Trophies were awarded to
the first three winners. Mike Rahm received a plaque. Approximately 22 cars were
made by the scouts and entered in the competition.
Announcer for the races was Duane Webb. Vic Bundgaard was the official starter,
and Jerome Zygowicz and Paul Johnson were posted and the finish line, judging
the winner of each race.
