Miss Trudy Willner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Willner of Colby received her diploma from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing on Wednesday, May 1, 1974. The group of 40 graduates was the fifty-seventh class to be graduated from the school. The class brings the total number of nurses graduated from the school to 1,374.

Commencement exercises were held in the Marshfield Senior High Auditorium at 8 p.m. The nursing graduates, along with graduates of the schools of medical technology, radiologic technology and histologic technique formed a procession which entered to the music of “Pomp and Circumstance,” played by Mr. Frank Wesley. Following the invocation, given by Father John Agnes, David R. Jaye Jr., President, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Inc., extended greetings to the graduates.

The commencement address was delivered by Norbert E. Koopman, Ph.D., Dean of the University of Wisconsin, Marshfield – Wood County Campus.
