Wendy Awe of Colby, Sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, was recently elected to membership in Pi Delta Phi, French honor society. Founded in 1906 at the University of California at Berkeley, Pi Delta Phi was established on the Eau Claire campus in 1956 with the purpose of recognizing merit in the study of the French language, the civilization of France, and of French literature. Two initiations a year are hel, with an average of fifteen students being honored on each occasion.
