Wolf, Donald W. (28 April 1931 – 20 July 2022)

Donald W. Wolf, age 91 of Dorchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Donald was born on April 28, 1931, the son of William O. and Hilda M. (Korth) Wolf in the township of Mayville, Clark County. He was educated in the Cleveland school until the eighth grade. Don worked for Francis Seubert until he served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 in Washington. After he returned home, he bought his uncles farm in 1955. Don was united in marriage to Betty L. Dekarske on September 19, 1959, at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Green Grove. The couple raised four children. He retired from farming in 1987 and began working for the Town of Mayville as road crew retiring in 2012.

Don enjoyed watching dirt car racing, watching his children and grandchildren sporting events and wood and metal working. Don and Betty were faithful members of Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

Don is survived by his wife: Betty, children: Ronald (Laura) Wolf of Holcomb, Brad (Pam) Wolf of Dorchester, Sue (Mike) Kirchner of Sussex and Gary Wolf of Alma, grandchildren: Kelsey (Brent) Sisko, Alex Wolf, Erich (Amber) Wolf, Julia Wolf, Bill Wolf, Stephanie (Connor) Porter and Josh (Sara) Kirchner, great-grandchildren: Kinsley Wolf, Wrenley Wolf and Ellis Sisko. He is further survived by a brother: Jerroll (Joy) Wolf of Cody, WY, a brother-in-law: Daniel Zillmer of Black River Falls and nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his sister; Judeen Zillmer and a brother: Raymond Wolf.

Private family graveside services were held at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
