Miss Marilyn Bauer, a senior at Colby High School, was the winner of a $100
scholarship offered by the Masquers and Forensic Club. The announcement was made
at the school’s award assembly Monday night.
Miss Bauer received the award on the basis of academic standing, participation
in school activities and merit. She will be attending the University of
Wisconsin, La Crosse, where she will major in physical education and speech
education.
Miss Bauer has served as vice president of the Forensic Club, is a member of
Ipissima Verba, National Honorary Forensic Society, and has been active in both
Masquers and Thespians, an honorary theater society.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Bauer, Colby.
