The Rev. Gary Clark officiated at the Saturday afternoon, November 14, wedding
of Emile Jean Raine and Daniel Kent Miller. The service was held at
Neillsville’s United Church of Christ. Parents of the couple are Darrel and
Eleanor Raine and Anita Miller, Neillsville.
Special music at the service included “Endless Love” and “The Wedding Song,”
offered by Bill Elmhorst.
Serving as matron of honor was Theresa Hediger, a friend of the bride from
Neillsville. She was joined by Jill Reinart, a friend from Neillsville; Brenda
Raine, the bride’s sister; and Lisa Dux, a friend from Wisconsin Rapids.
Best man was Curt Anding. He was joined by Lee Reinart, Rick Fitzmaurice and
Bobby Wilsmann. All are friends from Neillsville. Ushering were Jeff Raine and
Jeff Miller, bothers to the bridal couple from Neillsville.
Jamie Kuhn and Amy Opelt served as ring bearer and flower girl. Acolytes were
Michelle Opelt and Jason Kuhn. All four are nieces and nephews to the couple.
The bride chose a traditional, laced gown with slit sleeves and pleated bottom.
She wore a matching hat with veil and carried a bouquet of carnations, daisies,
roses and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore pleated gowns in burgundy and
featuring spaghetti straps and shawls; they carried bouquets of carnations,
daisies and baby’s breath. The groom was attired in a white tuxedo while his
attendants wore silver tuxedos.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Neillsville American Legion
Hall. The couple did not disclose their wedding trip plans. Prenuptial events
included a shower given by the bridesmaids.
The couple will make their home at Rt. 1 Neillsville. Both the bride and groom
are graduates of Neillsville High School. The new Mrs. Miller is employed by the
UW-Extension office as a secretary. Her husband is a machinist with M&E
Development of Neillsville.
