Larson, Emma S. (22 Sep 1900 – 11 Jun 1974)

Miss Emma S. Larson, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, June 11, 1974 at 6:30 p.m. at the Neillsville hospital. She was 73 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s American Lutheran Church, Curtiss, with the Rev. Roger Tellock officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral home in Abbotsford from 3 p.m. today (Thursday) until the time of services.

Miss Larson was born in the town of Mayville on September 22, 1900. She attended Abbotsford Schools and graduated from Stevens Point Teacher College. Teaching school for 44 years, she retired from the Wausau school system in 1964, where she taught for 24 years.

Surviving are two brothers, Oscar of Woodburn, Oregon, and Malcolm of Weyauwega; three sisters, Mable Larson of Abbotsford, Mrs. Arthur (Alma) Thompson of Curtiss and Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Kramer of Belleville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
