Robert Stacke, Branch Manager of the Security State Bank in Abbotsford, was
elected president of the Clark-Taylor Bankers Association.
The Clark-Taylor Bankers Association consists of 18 banks from Clark, Taylor,
Marathon and Wood Counties. The organization began in 1939 as the Clark-Taylor
Bond Club, Stacke said.
The association meets once a month to discuss matters relevant to banking in
general, Stacke explained.
Five scholarships are awarded annually to the University of Wisconsin Farm Short
Course at Madison, Stacke said. The Association also has a tree planting machine
which it rents to anyone wishing to use it, he added.
Stacke was the vice-president and secretary-treasurer of the Association before
becoming president on July 20th, 1974.
Other officers of the Clark-Taylor Bankers Association are: Dale Smith,
Vice-president, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Greenwood; Harland Schulty,
Secretary-Treasurer, Neillsville Bank, Neillsville.
