Shirley Arlene Schreffler, 85 of Stanley, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022,
at Country Terrace under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.
She was born on May 14, 1937, near Medford to the late Allan F. and Norma M. (Lokken)

grade at the one room school: Brady School which was 3/4 mile from her family
home. She then graduated from Abbotsford High in 1955. She married Rev. William

Shirley worked at Victory Memorial Hospital for 21 years. She worked as a CNA

of Withee. Giving to others was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed being a
wife/mother, cooking her family good meals, playing the piano, singing and going
to auctions.
She is survived by her children, William (Teresa) Jr. of Stanley and Brenda Joy
(John) Bollinger of Bremen, IN, 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, her brothers,
Rodney Hawks of Abbotsford and David Hawks of Las Vegas, NV and her sister,
Linda (Larry) Lundt of Clintonville. Shirley is preceded in death by her
husband, Rev. William Schreffler, SR, her son, Robert, and her brothers, Dean
and Bob.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, August 4th at the Plombon
Funeral Home-Stanley with Rev. James VanNorman officiating. Visitation will be
one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the 1st Apostolic
Church Cemetery-Town of Maplehurst after fellowship.
