Hauser, Amanda K. “Mandy” (4 January 1975 – 2 August 2022)
Amanda Kay “Mandy” Hauser passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
She was born on January 4, 1975, to Thomas Lewandowski and Jill (Bogumill)
Rogalski, in Stanley. Mandy graduated from Thorp High School in 1993 and went on
to get her teaching degree at Mount Senario College in Ladysmith. She taught in
Thorp for 23 years. Amanda was united in marriage to Chad Hauser on October 5,
1996. They lived in Thorp where they raised their two children.
Mandy loved spending time with her family, soaking up the sun, playing card
games, gardening, going on walks, watching sporting events, collecting junk,
doing puzzles, and creating crafts. Mandy did everything for everyone, and had
the strongest faith. She touched many lives over the years as the 4k Teacher at
Thorp Elementary School, and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband: Chad, and their children: Gracie and Charlie
Hauser, all of Thorp, parents, Thomas Lewandowski of Cadott, and Jill (Ron)
Rogalski of Thorp, her siblings: Craig (Lacy) Lewandowski of Fall Creek, Kevin
(Annie) Rogalski of Stanley, Eric (Tina) Rogalski of Austin, TX; her
mother-in-law: Sheri Hauser of Gilman, and sister-in-law: Ashlee (Bill) Potaczek
of Gilman. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,
nephews and friends.
Amanda is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Myrth and Clayborne
Bogumill; her paternal grandparents: John and Evelyn Lewandowski; her
father-in-law: Larry Hauser; her aunt and uncle: Dennis and Barb Bogumill; and
her aunt: Jan Ketterhagen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8th at St.
Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, in Thorp, with Mike Houle officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at
the church on Sunday, August 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on
Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in Mandy’s name
to Thorp Fire & Ambulance, 101 S. Wilson Street, Thorp, WI 54771.
