Arbelovsky, Joseph Sr. 24 (December 1899 – 21 January 1992)
Joseph Arbelovsky Sr., 92, died on Tuesday, January 21,1992, at 8:30 a.m. at the
Marshfield Living Center. Services were held Saturday, January 25, at 10:30 a.m.
at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chili. The Reverend. Charles Schumacher
officiated. Music was provided by St. Stephens Choir and Jeanette Steiner,
accompanist. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Joseph Arbelovsky, Sr., was born December 24, 1899, in Kresin, Czechoslovakia,
to Frank and Josefa (Prokes) Arbelovsky. He was educated in Czechoslovakia. He
came to the United States in 1921 and lived in the Chicago area. He married
Marie Fanta October 6, 1923. in Cicero, IL. He worked in Cicero as a mason until
he moved to the Town of Fremont, where he and his wife farmed from 1932-68. They
then retired and moved to Chili. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic
Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Joseph Jr. of Spencer and Frank of Kenai,
AK; one daughter, Mrs. Otto (Marie) Svoboda of Woodstock, IL; 15 grandchildren;
and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and four sisters.
